FAQ

  • What are your hours?
Individual practitioners set their own hours. Many clinicians offer both day and evening times. Please contact them via their website.
  • Will my insurance cover my sessions?
Most of our therapists are paneled with Highmark and Capital Blue Cross plans. Some therapists are paneled with additional health insurance plans as well. Locate this information on their websites. Private pay rates are also established by each therapist. Contact them for additional information.
  • What can I expect for the first session?
After you have established an appointment with one of our clinicians, they will direct you for the next step. Some will have paperwork for you to complete in the waiting room and others will ask you to complete this necessary step online ahead of time. Typically, the first session is a get-to-know-you type session reviewing your reason for seeking therapy, your current health and mental health concerns, and previous mental health experiences. Graystone offers two waiting areas, one traditional (except without a receptionist) and one intended for quiet, meditative time while you wait for the clinician to find you. Choose whichever waiting space you prefer each time you come in.
  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Kindly give the clinician as much notice as possible so that someone else may use that time. Each clinician typically expects at least a 24-hour notice in order for you to avoid a fee. Please refer to each clinician’s policy or discuss at your appointment.
